Black Box (BBOX) Misses Q3 EPS by 9c; Guides Below the Street

Black Box (NASDAQ: BBOX) reported Q3 EPS of $0.44, $0.09 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.53. Revenue for the quarter came in at $253.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $254.1 million.

Black Box sees Q4 2015 EPS of $0.44-$0.49, versus the consensus of $0.58. Black Box sees Q4 2015 revenue of $244-249 million, versus the consensus of $25 million.

Black Box sees FY2015 EPS of $1.65-$1.70, versus the consensus of $1.74. Black Box sees FY2015 revenue of $991-996 million, versus the consensus of $1010 million.


Commenting on the third quarter of Fiscal 2015 results, Michael McAndrew, President and Chief Executive Officer, said, "I am pleased to report that the Black Box team delivered a second consecutive quarter of year-over-year revenue growth in the third quarter of Fiscal 2015. Strength in both our Products and Services segments drove top-line growth and incremental gross profit dollar contribution.
"Our revenue growth demonstrates that providing innovative solutions to our customers and investing in our business are changing the trajectory of Black Box. Our focus for the future is to grow gross profit contribution and manage our operating costs to balance investment with operating margin expansion."
