Big 5 Sporting Goods Corp. (NASDAQ: BGFV) reported Q2 EPS of $0.13, $0.04 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.17. Revenue for the quarter came in at $231.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $242.2 million.

Same store sales declined 4.9% for the second quarter of fiscal 2014. For comparison purposes, the Company's same store sales increased 4.4% for the second quarter of fiscal 2013 over the second quarter of the prior year.

Big 5 Sporting Goods Corp. sees Q3 2014 EPS of $0.24-$0.32, versus the consensus of $0.48.
