American Superconductor (AMSC) Reports Q2 Loss of $0.10; Affirms FY08 Guidance

American Superconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: AMSC) reports Q2 loss of $0.10, 1 cent lower than the analyst estimate of ($0.09). Revenue for the quarter was $40.4 million, versus the consensus of $41.14 million.

Affirms its FY08 sales guidance of $175-$185 million and EPS of $0.30-$0.35.

American Superconductor Corporation, an energy technologies company, together with its subsidiaries, provides an array of solutions based on two proprietary technologies, programmable power electronic converters and high temperature superconductor (HTS) wires.
