After-Hours Movers 6/25: PALM, BORL, TIBX, ACN Higher; FINL, DISK, MU, SMOD Lower

Palm, Inc. (Nasdaq: PALM) 15.5% HIGHER; reports Q4 adj-loss of $0.40, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.62). Revenue for the quarter was $113.2 million, versus the consensus of $80.64 million.

Borland Software (Nasdaq: BORL) 13.5% HIGHER; announced that during the afternoon of June 24, 2009, Company A, a strategic buyer, who had previously submitted to Borland a nonbinding proposal for the Company for cash for consideration in the range of $1.10-$1.20 per share, submitted a new nonbinding proposal for the acquisition of all of the outstanding shares of the Company for consideration of $1.25 per share in cash.

Finish Line (Nasdaq: FINL) 8.2% LOWER; reports Q1 loss of $0.01, 2 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.01 and compared to a gain of $0.02 in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter was $267.2 million, versus the consensus of $273.15 million.

Image Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: DISK) 7.7% LOWER; reports a Q4 loss of $0.15 compared to a loss of $0.68 for the same period last year. Revenues increased 2.3% to $26.6 million, compared to $26.0 million for Q4 of fiscal 2008.

TIBCO Software (Nasdaq: TIBX) 5.3% HIGHER; reports Q2 non-GAAP EPS of $0.11, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.09. Revenue for the quarter was $142.7 million, versus the consensus of $139.35 million.

Accenture (NYSE: ACN) 4.4% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.68, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.64. Revenue for the quarter was $5.54 billion, versus the consensus of $5.20 billion. Sees Q4 revs of $5-$5.2 billion, versus the consensus of $5.26 billion. Sees FY09 sales unchanged to slightly positive and EPS from $2.60-$2.67 to $2.67-$2.70, versus the consensus of $2.64.

Micron Technology (NYSE: MU) 4.3% LOWER; reports Q3 loss of $0.36, 7 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.43). Revenue for the quarter was $1.1 billion, versus the consensus of $1.18 billion.

SMART Modular Technologies (NASDAQ: SMOD) 3% LOWER; reports Q3 non-GAAP EPS of $0.01, 3 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.02) and compared to a gain of $0.06 in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter was $91.6 million, versus the consensus of $100.02 million. Sees Q4 sales of $90-$100 million, versus the consensus of $107.90 million. Non-GAAP EPS for the quarter are expected to be $0.00-$0.01, which compares to the Street estimate of $0.02.
