AMYRIS, Inc. (AMRS) Misses Q2 EPS by 3c; Revs Light

AMYRIS, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMRS) reported Q2 EPS of ($0.66), $0.03 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.63). Revenue for the quarter came in at $19.26 million versus the consensus estimate of $39.08 million.
The decline in revenue was due to the planned wind-down of Amyris Fuels, the Company's ethanol and gasoline trading business. Cost of products sold also declined for the quarter, due principally to the aforementioned wind-down of Amyris Fuels, partially offset by increased costs associated with the production of Amyris renewable products.
Total research and development and sales, general and administrative expenses declined 11% to $40.7 million for the quarter.
