U.S. Markets Lower Early Following Record Dow Close (SPY) (QQQ) (DIA)
U.S. markets are on watch Monday following the long Independence Day weekend and as the Dow Jones Industrial Average reached new highs.
Last Thursday, the Dow closed at 17,068.26 after having moved above 17,000 points earlier in the session. Despite the impressive move in 2014, the index is up just under 3 percent for the year, having closed at 16,576.66 on December 31, 2013.
Lower are the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE: SPY), PowerShares QQQ Trust, Series 1 (Nasdaq: QQQ), and SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF (NYSE: DIA).
