ETF Investors Exit Gold (GLD), Emerging Markets (EEM); Buy Bonds (BND)

The past week saw weekly ETF inflows into bonds and away from precious metals and the emerging markets. The top gainer in terms of flows was in the Blended Debt category which saw $696 million in inflows, led by Vanguard Total Bond Market ETF (NYSE: BND) which saw a gain of $695 million. iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Index (NYSE: EEM) led the emerging market category exodus with outflows of $327 million.
Another notable move in ETF flows happened in SPDR Gold Shares (NYSE: GLD), which saw a huge one day drop of $891 million, according to data compiled by BNK Invest Inc.
