Unusual 11 Mid-Day Movers 6/30: DDSS, HYGS, RBN, NNDS Higher; TCM, JADE, PRC, SHFL Lower

Labopharm Inc. (NASDAQ: DDSS) 43.1% HIGHER; has received a response from the U.S. FDA regarding its most recent appeal of the decision in the Agency's Approvable Letter for its once-daily tramadol formulation through the Formal Dispute Resolution process.

Tongjitang Chinese Medicines Co. (NYSE: TCM) 32.5% LOWER; announced that Mr. Xiaochun Wang, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, and Mr. Yongcun Chen, a director of the Company, have withdrawn their proposal to acquire all outstanding shares of the Company in a letter to the Board of Directors dated June 27, 2008.

Hydrogenics Corp. (Nasdaq: HYGS) 29.2% HIGHER; continues to move higher this week after announcing Thursday that it has provided an integrated hydrogen generation system to Shell Hydrogen. On the news, the stock appears to have broken out of a trading range. Today's sharp move higher strengthens this technical move.

LJ International Inc. (Nasdaq: JADE) 25.7% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.05, versus $0.03 in the same quarter last year. Revenues for the quarter were $30.4 million, compared to $34.1 million in Q107. Sees Q2 revs of about $31 million and EPS in the range of $0.02-$0.03.

Petro Resources Corporation (AMEX: PRC) 24.6% LOWER; today announced that it has joined the Russell Microcap Index, effective June 27, 2008. The stock actually gapped higher by about 10% to start today's trading session, but has since gradually sold-off throughout the day.

Robbins & Myers Inc. (NYSE: RBN) 20.5% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.62, ex-items, versus the consensus of $0.58. Revenues came in at $ versus the consensus of $190.2 million. Sees FY EPS of $2.10-$2.15, ex-items, versus the versus the consensus of $2.05.

Shuffle Master, Inc. (NASDAQ: SHFL) 20% LOWER; announced that it has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission a Registration Statement on Form S-1. The purpose of the Registration Statement is to allow the Company to sell an amount of equity to generate proceeds, which, in conjunction with the net proceeds from a new term loan (or an equivalent amount of other indebtedness), borrowings under our existing revolving credit facility, and our cash on hand, will be sufficient to repurchase the Company's 1.25% Convertible Senior Notes due April 19, 2009. This announcement is neither an offer to sell nor a solicitation of an offer to buy shares of class A common stock.

MGIC Investment Corp. (NYSE: MTG) 19.7% LOWER; insurance stocks are having a miserable day on Wall Street today; Elsewhere in the industry: AIG (NYSE: AIG) down 4.5%, XL Capital (NYSE: XL) down 7.7%, MBIA (NYSE: MBI) down 6.5%, and Ambac (NYSE: ABK) is down 15%.

NDS Group plc (Nasdaq: NNDS) 19.6% HIGHER; received a proposal from News Corporation (NYSE: NWS) and two newly incorporated companies formed by funds advised by Permira to acquire the shares not already owned. Under the proposed deal, all issued NDS Series A ordinary shares, including shares represented by American Depositary Shares traded on NASDAQ, would be cancelled for per share consideration of $60 in cash. Shares of NDS Group closed at $49.70 on Friday.

Metropolitan Health Networks, Inc. (AMEX: MDF) 14.7% HIGHER; Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) has signed a definitive agreement to purchase Metcare Health Plans, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Metropolitan Health Networks for an estimated $14 million. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals from the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Indevus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: IDEV) 14.1% HIGHER; received an approvable letter from the FDA for NEBIDO.
