RHI Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: RHIE) 60% LOWER; reports Q3 loss of $1.24, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.22). Revenue for the quarter was $9.5 million, which compares to the estimate of $51.07 million.
Opnext Inc. (NASDAQ: OPXT) 30.7% LOWER; reports Q3 adj-loss of $0.10, 3 cents worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.07). Revenue for the quarter was $81 million, which compares to the estimate of $86.68 million. The stock was also downgraded at Jefferies.
Universal Power Group Inc. (AMEX: UPG) 26.5% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.12, compared to $0.08 in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter was $27.5 million, versus $30.6 million in Q308.
ParkerVision, Inc. (Nasdaq: PRKR) 24.1% LOWER; announced the pricing of its previously announced underwritten public offering of 8,000,000 shares of its common stock at a public offering price of $2.00 per share. Piper Jaffray & Co. acted as the sole underwriter and manager of the offering.
Cardiovascular Systems (Nasdaq: CSII) 23.7% HIGHER; since reporting Q1 results on Thursday of last week, this stock has made some interesting moves. Shares sold-off nearly 20% the next day, only to bounce 11% on Friday and 12% on Monday. The stock is continuing higher once again today on heavy volume.
Schawk (NYSE: SGK) 23.3% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.31, ex-items, 16 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.15. Revenue for the quarter was $113.5 million, which compares to the estimate of $106.80 million.
MBIA Inc. (NYSE: MBI) 21.2% LOWER; reports Q3 loss of $3.50, which was worse than analyst estimate loss of $1.05.
MedQuist Inc., (Nasdaq: MEDQ) 18.6% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.26, compared to a loss of $0.15 in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter was $76.8 million, versus $81.3 million in Q308.
Priceline.com (NASDAQ: PCLN) 17.7% HIGHER; reports Q3 adjusted EPS of $3.45, 55 cents better than the analyst estimate of $2.90. Revenue for the quarter was $730.7 million, which compares to the estimate of $693.97 million. Sees Q4 EPS $1.06 - $1.16, versus $1.09 consensus.
ION Geophysical (NYSE: IO) 17.6% HIGHER; the stock has rallied 40% since reporting Q3 results on November 4. As the stock has broken over the $5 level and its 200-day SMA today, technical traders may be buying the stock in anticipation of a breakout.
Pike Electric Corp. (NASDAQ: PIKE) 17.6% LOWER; reports Q3 loss of $0.08, versus the analyst estimate of $0.09. Revenue for the quarter was $127.2 million, which compares to the estimate of $128.26 million. FBR Capital also downgraded the stock to Market Perform.
