Shares of Credit Suisse (NYSE: CS) hung onto gains Wednesday afternoon despite a late-day downgrade from Rochdale's noted banking analyst Dick Bove. The stock closed up 0.9 percent to $19.31 on the NYSE.

Bove lowered his investment recommendation from Neutral to Undervalued, and also reduced his price target from $27 to $24.
