Piper Jaffray downgrades ATS Medical, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATSI) from Overweight to Neutral.

Piper analyst says, "ATS Medical reported Q1 sales of $18.6M, which were a little light relative to our expectations both in terms of sales and earnings. However, with the pending acquisition by Medtronic, we don't expect the results to have any impact on the current share price. While we think ATS Medical's product portfolio and early-stage transcatheter valve program offer compelling strategic value to any potential acquirer, with every passing day sans a competing bid, we think the likelihood of another suitor stepping is declining."
