Oppenheimer's Terry McEvoy revised the firm's investment ratings on shares of SunTrust (NYSE: STI) and BB&T (NYSE: BBT) Monday morning.

The analyst upgraded shares of SunTrust from Underperform to Perform and downgraded shares of BB&T from Outperform to Perform.

Ahead of the opening bell, shares of SunTrust are up 1 percent to $27.38. BB&T shares are up 0.5 percent to $26.10.
