Shares of Hartford Financial Services (NYSE: HIG) dipped sharply during Wednesday's afternoon session following an intraday downgrade from Morgan Stanley.

The firm now rates Hartford shares an Equal-Weight, down from Overweight previously.

The lowered investment rating follows fourth-quarter results from the company Tuesday afternoon. Shares of Hartford are up more than 7.5 percent at last check.
