Ingersoll-Rand (IR) Tops Q3 EPS by 9c; Trims Q4 Rev Guidance, FY09 Mixed, FY10 Higher

Ingersoll-Rand Plc (NYSE: IR) reports Q3 EPS of $0.70, 9 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.61. Revenue for the quarter was $3.48 billion, which compares to the estimate of $3.56 billion.

Ingersoll-Rand sees Q4 EPS of $0.44-$0.54, versus the consensus of $0.55. Q4 rev view cut to $3.2-$3.4 billion, versus the consensus of $3.38 billion.

Ingersoll-Rand sees FY09 EPS of $1.60-$1.70, versus the consensus of $1.58. Sees FY09 sales of $13.1-$13.3 billion, versus the consensus of $13.33 billion.

Ingersoll-Rand sees FY10 EPS of $2.00-$2.40, versus the consensus of $1.98.
