Collins Stewart downgrades Sigma Designs (Nasdaq: SIGM) from Buy to Hold.

Collins analyst says, "We are downgrading SIGM to HOLD post a disappointing quarter and outlook. We are concerned by the sharp GM decline and lack of growth within the IPTV market this year. Additionally, with the anticipated ramp of Broadcom (Nasdaq: BRCM) on Microsoft's Mediaroom (Nasdaq: MSFT) platforms expected to begin at the end of the year, we believe that growth in FY 11 (Jan) will be challenging. With $8.48/share in cash, we see limited downside risk at current levels, but would step to the sidelines at this time."
