Bio-Reference Laboratories, Inc. Again Awarded New York State Department of Corrections Laboratory Services Contract

Continuation of contract that was first initiated in 1998 remains with BioReference

ELMWOOD PARK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Bio-Reference Laboratories, Inc. (NASDAQ: BRLI) announced today that the State of New York Department of Correctional Services has once again selected BRLI to be the Department's provider of Statewide Laboratory Services. Pursuant to its internal requirements, the Department submits its contract for laboratory services for bid and proposal every five (5) years. The State first went to a unified statewide contract for laboratory services in 1998 and since that time BRLI has continuously been the provider of laboratory services. Over the next five years, BRLI indicated that it expects revenues from this Contract to exceed $35M.
