Arch Chemicals (NYSE: ARJ) reports Q3 EPS of $0.68 adjusted, versus the analyst estimate of $0.50. Revenue for the quarter was $367.9 million, versus the consensus of $393.8 million.
Arch Chemicals expects Q4 loss of 7c to 3c versus consensus 11c. Arch Chemicals expects FY08 EPS $2.20 to $2.30 versus consensus $2.18.
FY08 sales are now expected to increase by approximately 2%. The decrease from previous guidance is due to lower volumes and unfavorable foreign exchange partially offset by the favorable impact of the Advantis acquisition.
