Steelwedge Software to Optimize Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) for NACCO Materials Handling Group
PLEASANTON, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 07/09/08 -- Steelwedge Software, the leading provider of Sales and Operations (S&OP) solutions, announced today that it has been selected to support the S&OP process optimization for NACCO Materials Handling Group (NMHG), a leading manufacturer of configure to order lift trucks. NMHG is a subsidiary of NACCO Industries, Inc. (NYSE: NC)
The multi-phased project will focus first on optimizing sales and demand planning accuracy, down to the configured option level. The Steelwedge solution will link historical demand with forward-looking configured opportunities to create a "total view" of the demand signal.

The Steelwedge solution empowers users to drive collaborative forecasting and planning using Enterprise Enabled Excel. Bottom-up forecasting across dealers and the distributed sales team are aligned and validated with top-down forecasting.
