Peoples Financial Corporation (Nasdaq: PFBX) today announced that its Board has declared a semiannual dividend of $0.29, payable on July 14 to shareholders of record on July 7.
The new semi-annual dividend represents an increase of 7.4% over the $0.27 per share paid for the second half of 2007 and 16% higher than the semi-annual dividend of $0.25 per share paid in the first half of last year.
Peoples Financial Corporation operates as the bank holding company for The Peoples Bank, which provides banking services to individuals and small to middle market businesses in Mississippi.
