Morning Movers 11/07: Genworth Financial (GNW) Lower Following Results, NVIDIA (NVDA) Higher

Genworth Financial, Inc. (NYSE: GNW) 18% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.51, 4 cents below the analyst estimate of $0.55. Revenue for the quarter was $2.17 billion, versus the consensus of $3.07 billion. Genworth suspends dividend and buyback. Also, suspends giving a 2008 outlook.


China Digital TV Holding Co. Ltd (NYSE: STV) 15% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.14, 2 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.16. Revenue for the quarter was $16.9 million, versus the consensus of $15.92 million. Sees Q4 sales of $15.5-$16 million, versus the consensus of $25.58 million.

NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA) 14% HIGHER; reports Q3 adj-EPS of $0.20, 8 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.12. Revenue for the quarter was $897 million, versus the consensus of $890 million. NVIDIA sees Q4 revenues down 5%.

TBS International Ltd (Nasdaq: TBSI) 13% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $1.96, 46 cents better than the analyst estimate of $1.50. Revenue for the quarter was $183.3 million, versus the consensus of $120.75 million.

Jones Soda Co. (Nasdaq: JSDA) 11% LOWER; reports Q3 loss of $0.20, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.08). Revenue for the quarter was $9.7 million, versus the consensus of $12.18 million.

Las Vegas Sands Corp. (NYSE: LVS) 2% HIGHER; Bounces after yesterday's 33% decline on debt fears.

True Religion Apparel Inc. (Nasdaq: TRLG) 10% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.64, which may not compare to the analyst estimate of $0.47. Revenue for the quarter was $79.4 million, versus the consensus of $65.84 million. Raises high end of revenue guidance to $265 million from $247 million and high end of EPS guidance raised to $1.78 from $1.65.

Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq: YHOO) 10% LOWER; Microsoft's (Nasdaq: MSFT) CEO Steve Ballmer said his company may partner with Yahoo! in the future but isn't planing to make another takeover bid.

Priceline.com (Nasdaq: PCLN) 9% HIGHER; Reports Q3 EPS of $2.31, 21 cents better than the analyst estimate of $2.10. Revenue for the quarter was $561.6 million, versus the consensus of $546.62 million. Priceline.com sees Q4 EPS $1.00 to $1.10 versus $1.16.

Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) 9% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $1.01, 10 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.91. Revenue for the quarter was $5.7 billion, versus the consensus of $5.80 billion. Sees FY08 EPS of $3.70-$3.80, versus the consensus of $3.52 and FY09 EPS of $3.90-$4.20, versus the consensus of $4.01.

Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS (NYSE: TKC) 9% HIGHER; HSBC upgrades to Overweight.

GT Solar (Nasdaq: SOLR) 8% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.19, 5 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.14. Revenue for the quarter was $140.2 million, versus the consensus of $127.33 million.

Fulton Financial Corp. (NASDAQ: FULT) 8% HIGHER; will replace Valassis Communications Inc. (NYSE: VCI) in the S&P MidCap 400 after the close of trading on Monday, November 10

Entercom Communications (NYSE: ETM) 7% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.39, 10 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.29. Revenue for the quarter was $150.6 million, versus the consensus of $112.79 million. Suspends dividend.

Obagi Medical Products (Nasdaq: OMPI) 7% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.13, 1 cent lower than the analyst estimate of $0.14. Revenue for the quarter was $26 million, versus the consensus of $26.57 million. Sees Q4 EPS from $0.26-$0.29 to $0.12-$0.14, versus the consensus of $0.24 and revs from $31-$33 million to $26-$27 million, versus the consensus of $30.3 million.

Mirant (NYSE: MIR) 6% HIGHER; reports Q3 earnings of $1.17 per share, above the consensus of $1.08. Mirant revised its 2008 adjusted EBITDA guidance from $877 million to $763 million and its 2009 adjusted EBITDA guidance from $1.096 billion to $981 million. Mirant today announced that it is resuming its program of returning cash to stockholders. The company had previously returned $3.856 billion between November 2007 and September 2008, and it will now begin open market purchases for an additional $200 million.

bebe stores, inc. (Nasdaq: BEBE) 6% LOWER; EPS of $0.12, versus $0.16 last year.

Sprint Nextel (NYSE: S) 5% LOWER; reports Q3 earnings of breakeven, below the consensus of $0.03. Revenues came in at $8.82 billion, versus the consensus of $8.85 billion. For the quarter, total wireless customers declined by a net 1.3 million including losses of 1.1 million post-paid customers and 329,000 prepaid users, which was slightly offset by a 130,000 increase in the number of wholesale and affiliate subscribers.

General Motors (NYSE: GM) 4% HIGHER; Hopes of govenment bailout

Walt Disney (NYSE: DIS) 4% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.43, ex-items, 6 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.49. Revenue for the quarter was $9.45 million, versus the consensus of $9.34 billion.

QUALCOMM Inc. (Nasdaq: QCOM) 3% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.63 ex-items, versus the analyst estimate of $0.60. Revenue for the quarter was $3.3 billion, versus the consensus of $2.86 billion. QCOM sees Q1 EPS of $0.46-$0.50, versus the consensuso f $0.61. Sees FY EPS of $2.00-$2.10, versus the consensus of $2.22

Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) 3% LOWER; priced a $11 billion offering of 407.5 million shares of its common stock at $27.00 per share.
