The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. (NYSE: HIG) today announced that its Board has approved a 39.6% reduction in its quarterly dividend from $0.53 to $0.32 per common share, payable on January 2, 2009, to shareholders of record at the close of business on December 1, 2008.
