Corning (GLW) Reaffirms Q3 EPS Guidance; Lowers FY08, FY09 Capital Spending Estimates

Corning's (NYSE: GLW) Vice Chairman and CFO James Flaws will provide an update on the company's Display Technologies segment and Corning's outlook for the 2009 display glass market during the Maxim Group Growth Conference today in New York City.

Reaffirms its Q3 EPS guidance of $0.43-$0.45, before special items, which may not compare to the Street consensus of $0.44. For FY08 and FY09, Corning lowers its capital spending estimate by $300-$400 million to $1.8-$1.9 billion and by $100-$200 million to $1.6-$1.7 billion, respectively.

Corning Incorporated provides specialty glass and ceramics products in the United States.
