Cathay General Bancorp (Nasdaq: CATY) reports Q1 EPS of $0.12, 7 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.05.
CATY declared a cash dividend of $0.08 per common share payable May 14, 2009, to stockholders of record at the close of business on May 4, 2009. The amount of this dividend is 2.5 cents, or approximately 24%, less than the 10.5 cents cash dividend per common share paid in the previous quarter.
