Bassett Furniture Industries Inc. (Nasdaq: BSET) announced today that its Board of Directors did not declare a quarterly dividend for the second quarter of fiscal 2009, preserving approximately $1.1 million of cash in the quarter based on the quarterly dividend amount paid in December of 2008. The Company expects to release its fourth quarter and fiscal 2008 financial results next week. Those results will include an 18% decline in fourth quarter revenues compared to the fourth quarter of 2007 and a 2.4% decline in fiscal 2008 revenues compared to fiscal 2007.
