Assurant (NYSE: AIZ), a premier provider of specialty insurance and insurance-related products and services, announced that its board of directors has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.14 per common share, a 17% increase over the quarterly dividend declared on January 25, 2008, and a 100% increase over the company's first quarterly dividend of $0.07 per share declared on April 16, 2004. The dividend will be payable on June 10, 2008 to shareholders of record as of May 27, 2008.
