S&P Places Egypt on CreditWatch

Standard & Poor's placed Egypt on CreditWatch today. They cited Egypt's supreme council of the armed forces recent steps to consolidate power and a volatile transition from the authoritarian regime.
Regarding the presidential election, S&P said "The outcome of the presidential election seems to have been settled. However, significant uncertainty remains with regard to the political transition process."
