Moody's Investors Service ("Moody's") says that Lexmark (NYSE: LXK) announcement that it will acquire Kofax Limited ("Kofax") for total consideration of $1 billion (net of acquired cash) is strategically prudent but is a near term credit negative because of its effects on credit metrics and liquidity. The transaction does not affect the company's Baa3 rating or stable outlook.
