comScore Says Google's (GOOG) YouTube Made Up 38% of All Internet Videos Watched in the U.S. in April

comScore (Nasdaq: SCOR) released data for April '08 from the comScore Video Metrix service:

  • 11 billion online videos were viewed in the U.S. during the month
  • Google's (Nasdaq: GOOG) YouTube accounted for more than 4.1 billion total views, making up more than 38% of all videos
  • Fox Interactive Media ranked second with 588 million views, or 5.1% of all videos
  • Yahoo! (Nasdaq: YHOO) sites came in at third with 352 million, or 3.2% of all videos and
  • Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) sites had 268 million videos watched, or 2.4% of all views.
