Xerox's (XRX) Affiliated Computer Services Gets $47M Contract with State of Delaware
The State of Delaware is modernizing its child support enforcement system with technology to increase collections and improve customer service as part of a three-and-a-half year, $47 million contract with Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (ACS), A Xerox Company (NYSE: XRX).
ACS will design, develop and implement a new system for the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services, Division of Child Support Enforcement (DCSE). ACS and partner Protech Solutions, Inc. will provide Delaware and its citizens with a state-of-the-art solution to more efficiently manage child support cases.
The web-based solution supports highly automated case initiation, expanded referral capabilities with other state agencies, increased integration with the Family Court, reduction of duplicate data entry, improved caseload monitoring, as well as improved access by case participants and better enforcement of child support orders.
“Replacing the legacy child support system is long overdue. DCSE will partner with ACS to bring a modern system to Delaware with real-time tools to improve citizen service,” said Charles Hayward, director, Delaware Division of Child Support Enforcement. “We’re also able to design the program to meet our current needs and have it grow to serve into the future.”
A leader in providing child support services and solutions, ACS processes half of the nation’s child support payments, more than $13 billion annually.
“As states face continued economic challenges, they are asking us to help them make the best use of their resources,” said Joseph Doherty, executive vice president and group president, ACS Government Solutions. “Our work with the State of Delaware will help them improve upon their tradition of quality service.”
