Williams (WMB) CEO Malcolm to Retire; Armstrong Named Successor

Williams (NYSE: WMB) and Williams Partners L.P. (NYSE: WPZ) announced Tuesday that Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Steve Malcolm will retire at the end of the year.
The Board of Directors at Williams said it has elected Alan Armstrong to succeed Malcolm as CEO effective January 3, 2011. Armstrong has served as senior vice president of Williams since 2002.
