Traders should be watching stocks in the Solar sector as we are hearing Germany's Handelsblatt publication is reporting the nation is planning a "drastic" cut in solar subsidies. A source has said German officials are planning a 30 percent reduction in some solar investments.
First Solar (Nasdaq: FSLR) shares down about 2.7 percent in pre-market action, Suntech (NYSE: STP) shares down 3.3 percent, SunPower (Nasdaq: SPWR) shares down about 2.4 percent. Also track the Claymore Global Solar ETF (NYSE: TAN) for a broad view of the sector.
