Verisk Analytics (NASDAQ: VRSK) announced the acquisition of The GeoInformation Group, a leader in the field of geographic data solutions based in Cambridge, United Kingdom.
"This acquisition expands Verisk's footprint in the U.K. as a data and analytics provider across multiple markets, including insurance, energy, and real estate," said Scott Stephenson, chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Verisk Analytics. "The GeoInformation Group's resources complement our risk management and predictive analytics capabilities internationally."
The GeoInformation Group offers large-scale mapping services and geospatial data and analytic solutions to a wide array of companies and more than 300 public sector organizations.
