Ubiquiti Networks (UBNT) Granted Court Order Against Counterfeiting Enterprise

Ubiquiti Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: UBNT) announced that on June 20, the U.S. federal court for the Northern District of California granted the Company's application for a temporary restraining order enjoining Kozumi USA Corp. and its owner Shao Wei (William) Hsu and anyone in active concert or participation with them.
The Company had filed a lawsuit seeking to stop the illegal counterfeiting of its products by a counterfeiting ring led by Kozumi and Hsu. According to the complaint, Hsu engaged in intellectual property theft, illegal manufacturing and sale of counterfeit Ubiquiti Networks products, fraudulent registration of Ubiquiti trademarks overseas and attempted extortion. In addition, the complaint asserted that Hsu has recently acted in accomplice with the owner of a counterfeit factory in China in spreading malicious and false rumors about Ubiquiti in an attempt to obstruct Ubiquiti's brand protection efforts.
