USPTO Revises Transaction History for Amarin's (AMRN) '598 Patent to 'Document Verification'

Shares of Amarin (Nasdaq: AMRN) have just spiked higher in early-morning trade Friday as the US Patent and Trademark Organization just updated the transaction history for the company's 12/052,598 patent from "Examiner's Amendment Communication" as of Wednesday to "Case Docketed to Examiner in GAU" and consequently "Document Verification."
Amarin shares have rallied more than 30 percent since Wednesday when the latest transaction history was revised.
The stock is now up more than 10 percent to around $9.86 Friday morning.
