Toyota (TM) Reports 34.6% Drop in June Sales
Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc., (NYSE: TM) today reported half-year sales of 770,449 vehicles. TMS saw improvements in the second quarter, posting sales of 410,777 units, an increase 11.2 percent over the first quarter, on a daily selling rate basis. For the month of June, TMS recorded sales of 131,654 units, a decrease of 34.6 percent from last June.
The Toyota Division posted June sales of 114,780 units, down 36.3 percent from the year-ago month. The Lexus Division reported sales of 16,874 for the month, a decrease of 20 percent from last June.
