Time Inc. (NYSE: TIME) and JASH, an award-winning content shop, digital network and comedy community, announced that they have entered into a strategic partnership.
Under the agreement, The Foundry, Time Inc.’s state-of-the-art creative lab and content studio, and JASH will jointly provide a multi-platform comedy content creation engine for advertisers. JASH will bundle its content with Time Inc.’s premium digital media and will offer its content to the Time Inc. digital audience.
JASH will help Time Inc. deepen its relationships with the JASH community of established and emerging comedic talent. Clients will also be able to use JASH’s creative capabilities and access its founding creative team—Emmy-nominated comedy producers Daniel Kellison (Jimmy Kimmel Live, Late Show with David Letterman), Doug DeLuca (Jimmy Kimmel Live) and digital video vet Mickey Meyer (Epic Rap Battles).
Erik Moreno, Executive Vice President of Business Development for Time Inc., who spearheaded the alliance, said, “Time Inc. is excited to offer its clients a new content vertical—comedy. By teaming with JASH, we will provide audiences and advertising partners with even more premium content and creative solutions. JASH and The Foundry will work together to delight and engage audiences.”
Doug DeLuca, Executive Chairman of JASH, added, “The appetite for smart, premium comedy content is high, especially in the branded world. We’ve seen that reflected in how fast the division has grown at JASH. Together with The Foundry and Time Inc., we’ll deliver this work with brands, at scale, across expanded distribution and media inventory—a triple threat win for our clients.”
JASH is a consistent source for brands and distributors looking for premium comedy programming and access to emerging and established comedians. JASH branded campaigns have been recognized four times by the Cannes Lions and by Ad Age’s “Ad of the Week.” More on JASH’s branded client work can be found here: http://bit.ly/2d1cxk0
