Synopsys, Inc. (SNPS) Completes Acquisition of RSoft Design Group

Synopsys, Inc. (Nasdaq: SNPS) has completed the acquisition of privately held RSoft Design Group, Inc. (RSoft), a provider of photonics design and simulation software headquartered in Ossining, New York.
The acquisition is a natural extension of Synopsys' entry into the optics market that started in 2010 with the acquisition of Optical Research Associates (ORA).
The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
