Stem Cell-Related Stocks on the Move Following Cytori News (CYTX, STEM, PSTI, ASTM)

Stem cell-related stocks are active this morning following news out of Cytori Therapeutics (Nasdaq: CYTX) that a recent study has suggested adipose tissue-derived stem and regenerative cells significantly reduce mortality and improve renal function in an acute kidney injury model.

Shares of Cytori are currently up about 4% to $3.22.

The news should be positive for the stem cell sector as a whole. Other stocks to watch on this news: StemCells (Nasdaq: STEM), Pluristem Therapeutics (Nasdaq: PSTI) and Aastrom Biosciences (Nasdaq: ASTM).
