Android users in the U.K. are about to get a little more wired, a little more quickly, and a little more conveniently.
According to reports out Wednesday, Starbucks (Nasdaq: SBUX) has launched an app for Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) Android-based mobile devices across the pond. This will allow Starbucks fans in the U.K. who don't like tea to grab some java via the app, which is linked to loyalty cards and allows for one-touch purchases.
An app for Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPhone in the U.K. was released earlier in 2012.
Starbucks said it has seen a 70 percent increase in Starbucks Card Rewards users over the last 12 months in the U.K.
Shares of Starbucks are indicated slightly lower Wednesday.
