SolarWinds Inc. (NYSE: SWI) will replace Gen-Probe Inc. (NASDAQ: GPRO) in the S&P MidCap 400 index after the close of trading on Tuesday, July 31. S&P MidCap 400 constituent Hologix Inc. (NASDAQ: HOLX) is acquiring Gen-Probe in a deal expected to be completed on or about that date pending final approvals.
HealthStream Inc. (NASDAQ: HSTM) will replace GeoResources (NASDAQ: GEOI) in the S&P SmallCap 600 index after the close of trading on Tuesday, July 31. GeoResources is being acquired by Halcon Resources (NYSE: HK) in a deal expected to be completed soon pending final approvals.
