SINA (SINA) Shares Rise While Focus Media (FMCN) Sells-Off as Deal Won't Happen

Shares of SINA Corp. (Nasdaq: SINA) are gaining today, while shares of Focus Media (Nasdaq: FMCN) are sinking. SINA announced earlier that the two companies have agreed to not extend the deadline for a possible deal between them announced first on December 22, 2008.

SINA is currently up more than 3.6% to $36.54 and Focus Media shares are down about 1.2% to $10.90.
