S&P Announces Changes to US Indices: TRH for EAC, OKE for BDK, GHL for OKE, POWL for GHL

Transatlantic Holdings Inc. (NYSE: TRH) will replace Encore Acquisition Co. (NYSE: EAC) in the S&P MidCap 400 index after the close of trading on Tuesday, March 9. S&P 500 constituent Denbury Resources Inc. (NYSE: DNR) is acquiring Encore Acquisition in a deal expected to be completed on or about that date, pending final approvals.
S&P MidCap 400 constituent ONEOK Inc. (NYSE: OKE) will replace The Black & Decker Corp. (NYSE: BDK) in the S&P 500 index, S&P SmallCap 600 constituent Greenhill & Co. Inc. (NYSE: GHL) will replace ONEOK in the S&P MidCap 400, and Powell Industries Inc. (NASDAQ: POWL) will replace Greenhill & Co. in the S&P SmallCap 600 index after the close of trading on Friday, March 12. Black & Decker is being acquired by S&P 500 constituent The Stanley Works (NYSE: SWK) in a deal expected to be completed on or about that date, pending final approvals.
