S&P Announces Changes to US Index: NRG for JAVA

NRG Energy Inc. (NYSE: NRG) will replace Sun Microsystems Inc. (NASDAQ: JAVA) in the S&P 500 after the close of trading on a date to be announced. Sun Microsystems is being acquired by S&P 100 & 500 constituent Oracle Corp. (NASDAQ: ORCL) in a cash deal expected to be completed soon, pending final approvals.
