S&P Announces Changes to U.S. Indices (SWN for TT, DAR for PFGC)

S&P MidCap 400 constituent Southwestern Energy Co. (NYSE: SWN) will replace Trane Inc. (NYSE: TT) in the S&P 500, and Commerce Bancshares Inc. (NASDAQ: CBSH) will replace Southwestern Energy in the S&P MidCap 400 after the close of trading on Thursday, June 5. Trane is being acquired by S&P 500 constituent Ingersoll-Rand Co. Ltd. (NYSE: IR) in a deal expected to close on or about that date, pending final approvals.

Darling International Inc. (NYSE: DAR) will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on Thursday, May 29. Darling will take the place of Performance Food Group Co. (NASDAQ: PFGC), whose acquisition by The Blackstone Group closed before today’s open of trading.
