Gulfport Energy Corp. (NASDAQ: GPOR) will replace American Physicians Capital Inc. (NASDAQ: ACAP) in the S&P SmallCap 600 index after the close of trading on Wednesday, October 20. The Doctors Company is acquiring American Physicians Capital in a deal expected to close on or about that date, pending final approvals.
