Rentech (RTK) Surges On Reports of Project with SYNGAS In Australia

Shares of Rentech, Inc. (NYSE: RTK) are up 40% today following reports from AdelaideNow that SYNGAS has teamed up with the company and General Electric (NYSE: GE) to progress South Australia's $3 billion coal-biomass-to-diesel Clinton project.

The report said that this week Rentech came on board to provide preliminary engineering services at the proposed site.

Rentech will provide its Fischer-Tropsch fuels production technology for the project in the first quarter of 2010.


No one at Rentech was avialable to comment on the story.
