Raytheon (RTN) Wins $61M Contract with U.S. Navy for Phalanx Close-In Weapon Systems

Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) today announced that it has been awarded a $61.1 million contract with the U.S. Navy to purchase radar upgrade kits and other spare parts for the Phalanx Close-In Weapon Systems.

Phalanx is a rapid-fire, computer-controlled radar and 20 mm gun system that automatically acquires, tracks and destroys enemy threats.

Raytheon Company engages in the design, development, manufacture, integration, and support of technological products, services, and solutions for governmental and commercial customers in the United States and internationally.
