Research In Motion (Nasdaq: RIMM) got a lot of love from its users amid chatter otherwise... well, according to the company anyway.

Reports out Tuesday suggest RIM is aiming to lure in more developers with facts and figures. Presenting at the RIM-hosted DevCon Europe, RIM developer relations lead Alec Saunders threw out the following data:
  • 6 million apps downloaded everyday from BlackBerry App World;

  • 150 million per month on average;

  • RIM apps have higher profitability than Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) or Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) Android counterparts; and

  • About 13 percent of RIM developers have made $100,000 or more.
CNET notes Saunders came over with the acquisition of QNX.

The goal of the statements was to put rumors RIM's app ecosystem was dead to rest. Luring developers in is a great idea, because without apps RIM might as well scrap its BlackBerry 10 OS.

Shares of RIM are indicated for a higher open Tuesday.
