Qualstar (QBAK) Awarded XLS Enterprise Tape Library System Patent
Qualstar Corporation (Nasdaq:QBAK) announced that it has been awarded United States Patent No. 7,181,313 covering the groundbreaking design of its XLS Enterprise Tape Library System, one of the highest capacity libraries on the market today. This latest award reaffirms Qualstar's design leadership in automated tape systems since 1994.
Announced in mid-2006, the XLS family delivers cost-effective libraries that scale from 240 terabytes to over 5 petabytes, providing enterprise users with very dense and highly scalable solutions for their growing data protection and archival storage requirements.
