Perrigo Company (Nasdaq: PRGO) has received final approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for its abbreviated new drug application for clobetasol propionate shampoo, 0.05%, the generic equivalent of Clobex Shampoo.
Perrigo will commence shipment of the product immediately.
Clobetasol propionate shampoo, 0.05%, is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe scalp psoriasis. Brand and Generic annual sales were approximately $57 million, as measured by Wolters Kluwer Health.
